Thinking and Actualizing: How FW.VISION and SyncIDLabs Divide the Work
FW.VISION explores the underlying possible trajectories of the future. Synchronous I&D Labs Inc. (SyncIDLabs) hosts the ventures and funds that actualize the ones worth building. Both run on the same intellectual property: Hybrid Intelligence and the CITAble assessment.
There is a division of labour between thinking about the future and building it. FW.VISION occupies the first space; Synchronous I&D Labs Inc. (SyncIDLabs) occupies the second. The two are distinct functions running on shared intellectual property.
FW.VISION Thinks
FW.VISION is a founder-led strategic-foresight firm operating as a think tank. Its work is to explore the underlying possible trajectories of the future: to formulate scenarios, evolve them as signals change, and judge which futures are worth actualizing. It publishes the frameworks (CITAble, APPETITE, Hybrid Intelligence) and uses them daily to assess ventures and allocate attention.
The output of thinking is not a prediction. It is a set of trajectories, each with a case for why it matters and what it would take to reach it.
SyncIDLabs Actualizes
SyncIDLabs hosts the projects that become actual ventures, and the funds that host ventures innovating in alignment with those futures. Where FW.VISION theorises a trajectory, SyncIDLabs builds toward it, venture by venture, on real land in Markham. FW.VISION thinks and evolves the scenarios; SyncIDLabs actualizes the ones worth building.
Shared Intellectual Property
Both entities run on the same core IP: Hybrid Intelligence, the practice of human-centric, agentic scale, and the CITAble assessment that measures whether a venture is future-proof. FW.VISION uses the CITAble framework to assess businesses and ensure strategic alignment of futures. SyncIDLabs uses the same assessment to select and steer the ventures it hosts.
The CITAble Business Index is the shared instrument. It reads a venture’s four-quadrant alignment: whether it solves a real problem, practises Hybrid Intelligence, stabilises society, and actively futures. A venture that passes is one FW.VISION would theorise toward and SyncIDLabs would build.
Why the Separation Matters
Keeping thinking and actualizing distinct protects both. The think tank stays free to explore trajectories without being captured by the ventures it assesses. The operational arm stays free to build without diluting the foresight function. The shared IP is what keeps them coherent: two functions, one intellectual spine.
